TOOLS FOR CHANGE
![]() |
What does it take to build trust across divides of culture, ethnicity and politics? Do our lives demonstrate the kind of change that we want to see in the world? What tools do we need as trustbuilders and peacebuilders?
Tools for Change offers six days of personal development and skills-building for people of all sectors of society at the IofC conference centre in Caux, Switzerland. Shorter programmes have also started, annually, in Kuala Lumpur. Participants have an opportunity to examine the core values of Initiatives of Change and their relevance to those working for an inclusive, just and peaceful society. An international faculty address theory and practice around creating and sustaining positive change. Every activity, including service in the house, contributes to the development of participants in a unified, interactive learning experience.
The cultural diversity of the conference allows a free exchange of ideas on different approaches to problem solving. The programme equips and empowers participants for the work they will undertake when they leave Caux and sets them on a path of further discovery.
Past participants have said:
- “An excellent balance of intellectual stimulation, heart stirring and creativity”
- “I’ve learned new facilitation skills, new models for presenting wisdom. I’ve also learned more about IofC”
- “Telling stories with people I trust results in very transformative change”.
- “I’ve learned to cross the lines of difference”
