HISTORY
HOW 'MRA' BEGAN
Loudon Hamilton was one of the first people to work with MRA's founder Frank Buchman, when he visited Oxford in 1921. One evening Buchman was a guest in London Hamilton's rooms in Christ Church at a meeting of the 'Beef and Beer Club'. Out of this grew the Oxford Group, which became known as Moral Re-Armament in 1938, and Initiatives of Change from 2001. Loudon Hamilton tells the story in a booklet published in 1968, 'MRA: How it all began', which is available for download as a PDF file.
