The major Indonesian daily newspaper Republika reported on Rajmohan Gandhi's speech to the University of Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr Hamka (Uhamka) Jakarta, Thursday 11 March. Professor Rajmohan Gandhi, President of Intiatives of Change International, is on a ‘Voyage of Dialogue and Discovery’, which began last week in Jakarta. The journey will take Gandhi, his wife Usha, and teams accompanying them to countries in Asia, Africa, the Middle-East, Europe and the Americas, in his words, ‘with a hope for honest dialogue and a desire for collaboration’.

The Times' website, under its faith section, reports yesterday's latest launch of Michael Henderson's book No Enemy to Conquer at a Greencoat Forum in the London centre of Initiatives of Change. Under the headline 'Forgiveness is the key to bringing peace in Northern Ireland', Cheryl Gallagher reports Henderson's emphasis that 'forgiveness far from being just a personal or religious matter can affect the life of nations'.

The local press in South Australia recently picked up the community building potential of the Creators of Peace Circles. Every weekday evening Channel 4 TV in the UK broadcasts a short three-minute film, under the series entitled 'three minute wonder', immediately after the main evening news. On Thursday 14 January, the 'three minute wonder' was about South Indian banker J S Parthibhan and his work to provide micro-credit to the villagers of Tamil Nadu.

It shows the courage and great forgiving power of Muhieddine Chehab and Asaad Chaftari, one Muslim, one Christian, who were former enemies in Lebanon’s civil war. ‘Having fought on opposing sides during the Lebanese civil war, two men reconcile openly with their violent history,’ says CNN’s website.

Under the headline, "Building Trust Comes From a Shared Narrative" Silvestri, writes that the event aimed to go beyond stopping at "who is right and who is wrong" in addressing "potentially explosive topics such as race relations, socioeconomic factors, and education problems."
