A regional teachers dialogue will take place in Lira in the northern part of Uganda from 30 May to 5 June 2012. This region has experienced war and human suffering for over 25 years. In order for development to take place many young people need to find hope and peace. Participants are expected from Southern Sudan, Eastern Congo, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania and Kenya.

The next Asia Pacific Youth Conference (APYC) will be held in Tokyo and Fuji-Yoshida, Japan from 22 to 29 August 2012. The eight day conference is expected to attract about 110 youth from the Asia Pacific region including the host country Japan. The conference programme includes plenary sessions, community sharing time, workshops and cultural presentations where the main theme, KIZUNA (Human Bonding based on mutual trust and fellowship) will be discussed.
