The heart of Initiatives of Change is people building a better world by starting a process of change in their own lives. Often, seemingly small and insignificant personal decisions have a ripple effect - leading to deeper commitment and empowering others to act as well. Like seeds becoming tender shoots and finally bearing fruit, the process is organic rather than mechanical. It unfolds in its own timing and is best evaluated through telling stories. Sometimes the process leads to big shiny "fruit" that are easily seen. Other times the fruit may be more private - a changed outlook on life or relationships that are transformed.
